What would have to happen for you to start believing in a God?
That was the question asked in The Friendly Atheist’s recent contest. Check out the winners and their submissions here. Maybe I’m biased, but I think #3 is the best.

I was rather partial to “world peace”, which will of course never happen – we’re just not wired to be a peaceful species. As soon ask a fish to live in the middle of a desert.

Amy Luthien, “World peace” won’t win an FA contest, though I would prefer it over Ray’s brain every time.

“World Peace” (or whirled peas) amused me, but my personal answer would be that in order for me to believe in God, he’d have to walk into my living room and personally kiss my lily-white ass. World Peace is a far more likely an occurrence. -x-:D

I couldn’t have answered the question honestly, because I honestly don’t know. Unobservable supernaturalism is difficult to… well, to observe. If something supernatural did occur, at most, I could only declare that something supernatural occurred. I wouldn’t be able to determine what was responsible because it can be observed!
