Mary wrote to me on MySpace to tell me that the healing revival in Florida, with Todd Bentley, will be on at 7:00 PM this week. Since I missed the shows on Saturday and Sunday, which I wrote about, I decided to watch tonight. It’s still on now…
I tuned-in at 7:00 PM. After about ten minutes, I realized the music portion of the show was to come first. I flipped back and forth, checking for something new. The band played what sounds, to me, like one boring, never-ending, horrible song. The keyboard player / singer actually whistled at one point.
Todd Bentley didn’t come on stage until 84 minutes into the show. From the first time I saw him, he was lying. Seriously, he was outstretched on the floor, shaking his head, and possibly drooling. I call that metaphorical Freudian foreshadowing.
It’s now almost 9:00. He’s still preaching / ranting. So far, there has been no healing, or even any “healing.” The only highlight was his anecdote about seeing a “light” in Applebee’s earlier today. And then “the angel of the lord” appeared there. Unbelievable.
I simply can’t tolerate anymore of this. I held out as long as I could. Holy shit!

Any revival that has the involvement of sexual perverts, such as Paul Cain and Bob Jones, is from the pits of hell and not from God! These liars, deceivers and conartists at the Lakeland Revival, including Todd Bentley and Stephen Strader, only see and hear what they want to see and hear and that is so dumb because others are not dumb like they are! They see the truth about this so called revival is nothing but a farce and a joke devoid of integrity no matter how many people they might deceive! I have been watching the revival and honestly it is unlike anything I have ever seen. Don’t get me wrong I have seen the power of the Holy Spirit but what I mean is that there is an awakening happening for alot of the churches and christ followers that have been asleep. The “show” that you refer to is called “worship” and worship ushers in the presence of God. I would assume you knew that seeing as you yourself used to be a christian. I don’t mean any disrespect to you but it is not a show. It is how we connect with our Lord, in spirit and truth. This next sentence goes out to Mr. George Watts who wrote in and said Todd is a liar. What alot of people don’t understand is that even Jesus was accused by the religious leaders of the day of being demonically possessed. His answer to them was “A kingdom cannot be divided against itself. How can Satan cast out Satan?” The answer to that is he can’t. I have 5 friends so far who live 1 hour away who went and everyone of them were healed. They all had different ailments such as tendonitis, back pains from accidents, ear problems, not being able to lift her hand above her head, eyesight healed(she has 20/20 now,etc. This is reality. Great things are happening and the fact that he gives all of the honor and glory to Jesus tells me he is not operating under any other spirit but that of the Holy Spirit. That is not a spirit of pride. A spirit of pride would give himself the glory or say that he himself is God and Todd has made it clear time and time again that it is Jesus who is doing this. I know that people will still chose to not believe and that is every person’s free will but as a friend to people who did get healed by God I can say with absolute certainty this is genuine. One last remark for the skeptics: Don’t be surprised when the “show” doesn’t turn out as you would see fit. If there is 2 hours of singing first and then preaching and then maybe something else and then finally the healing and you are bored then this is not for you. The “presence” of God is what we believers are after. We look for our souls and spirits to be fed by God. The healing is just a manifestation of the presence of God. It is what happens when The Kingdom comes down on earth as it is in heaven(remember the Lord’s prayer)? The difference between the “religious” (those who claim christianity but have no relationsip with Jesus) and those who DO have relationship with him is that those who do have relationship with Jesus KNOW HIM and carry HIS presence with them. I don’t ever want to be one of the “religious”. I want to have reckless faith and do exactly what Jesus said I could do which is “you will do greater things than this IF you believe” .
